The New (for some people) Truth About Cause and Effect

A few basics about manifesting in a cooperative universe:

#1  We’re manifesting 24/7.

All thoughts invested with emotion manifest – some more than others, some sooner than others, but they all manifest. One of my best friends, Lynne Sputhe, told me shortly after she passed away how she sees it from the other side:

Every life is a painting and the brush never stops.

Let that sink in a moment – the brush never stops! We’re constantly signaling the universe, not just in the moments we spend with intentional meditation and affirmations.

Most of you reading this know, but it’s worth remembering: affirm the end result, not how to get there; see the relationship, not who that may be with; imagine being surrounded by people who love and support you, not that your particular family members will change. (Everyone has their own free will and it’s not our place to determine their path.)

#2 We don’t manifest what we consciously want to have; we manifest what we subconsciously believe we deserve.

You don’t even need to go back to your childhood to find your subconscious beliefs because your life reflects them – just look at your results. So yes, personal development to outweigh our buried, self-limiting beliefs pays off. But know that talking to yourself doesn’t change subconscious thinking, because your subconscious mind doesn’t learn from your conscious mind. Your best bet is to engage in some kind of subconscious intervention or conduct highly repetitive mental habits.

#3 Our best tools are integrity, responsibility, and gratitude.

Of course, deception is like spiritual suicide, but integrity means with ourselves as well as with others. If we’re one of those people who frequently says YES when we want to say NO, or vice versa, then we’re still damaging the wholeness, the cohesion, of our energetic field.

Responsibility means owning that where we are in life is what we created – the good and the bad. Simple? Yes. Easy? Well, that depends on the person.

Full accountability is difficult when it’s easier to blame other people and outside forces for our predicaments. Easier to take a pill before we analyze our habits. Easier to keep doing what we’ve been doing than make a change. Don’t you just love the people who want THINGS to change, but THEY don’t want to change – like that’s ever going to happen…

When we don’t immediately see what we want, we sometimes fall back on doubt or despair. And that’s OK as long as we don’t stay there! Every experience has a gift, a message, something we can learn from. Like a signpost that we’re going in the right direction or the wrong one.

A step better than being grateful for the house, the job, the relationship is being grateful for the guidance that helped you manifest those. And for being open to receiving that guidance – yay, you!

Success comes faster when we stay forward-focused on who we are becoming and know reality is wildly unpredictable. Things are not guaranteed to happen the way we anticipate – yet if we stay open, they often turn out better than we had ever imagined.
